Telankhedi Hanuman Temple
Telankhedi Hanuman Temple is a prominent Hanuman Temple located in the Nagpur city. Lord Hanuman is being worshipped as the God of strength and force. Apart from the Monkey god, there are idols of several other Gods in the temple vicinity. There are large life sized idols made of marbles of other Hindu Gods like Lord Vishnu, Lord Ganesha, Lord Rama, Santoshi Ma, Durga Devi, Gayathri Ma and Radha Krishna. The availability of so many idols gives a delight to the devotees visiting the temple. The location of the temple is along the Seminary Hill southern slope.The location of the temple provides excellent view of the western Nagpur region and Telankhedi Garden. Devotees throng the temple on Tuesdays and Saturdays as these are considered as the auspicious days for worshipping Lord Hanuman. Apart from this, Hanuman Jayanthi and Ram Navami are celebrated with great pomp and marvel in the temple. The temple trust board is provides financial assistance in maintaining a Yogashala (Place for practicing and training Yoga) and Goshala (Protection of cows).
History of Telankhedi Hanuman Temple
Telankhedi Hanuman Temple dedicated to Lord Hanuman has a unique attraction which is evident from the number of devotees visiting the temple. As per the mythological legends the origin of the temple has a direct relation to Lord Rama. It is believed that Lord Rama relaxed on the hillock in Nagpur on the way to Lanka. The devotees firmly believe that the idol at the temple has mystique powers which are responsible for attracting devotees in large number. It is believed that a visit to this temple and praying whole heartedly would evade one from all types of sorrows. The devotees experience soothing, serene, spiritual and harmonious environment in the temple.
Best Time to Visit
The city of Nagpur experiences dry and humid climate all through the year. However, with the onset of mild winter in the months of October, city experiences a pleasant weather. Hence this period is considered ideal for sightseeing and picnics.

Bus
Nagpur city is well connected with bus facilities from other cities of Maharashtra and neighboring states of Telangana and Madhya Pradesh. Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation buses which are popularly called as MSRTC or ST plies in the entire city and different parts of the Maharashtra state. The bus fares in the city limits are as low as 5 to 20 rupees. You can buy a bus guide book or consult the locals to board the correct bus to your planned destinations. Telankhedi Hanuman temple is 5 km from the main city limits.
Train
Nagpur Railway station falls in the main line of the Indian railways forming a gateway between the National Capital and the south India. It is part of the Central Railway network. It is one of the busiest stations in the country with numerous superfast and express trains carrying millions of passengers in and out of the city. Nagpur city is well connected with trains from different parts of the country. The temple is located at a distance of 4.2 km from the railway station.
Air
Nagpur city has an international airport which is well connected with various destinations in the country. Numerous low fare airlines like Indigo, Kingfisher and spice jet operate from the city with regular flights to Mumbai, Chennai, Delhi and Hyderabad. The other nearby airportsis located at Nashik, Pune and Aurangabad.
