History

Subash Bagh is in the pious city of Ajmer in Rajasthan, known for the famous Dargah Sharif. Those who visit here for the blessings of the saint, also make it a point to visit Subash Bagh and soak in the brilliance of nature. Subash Bagh is a garden which was built by Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan on the eastern banks of the Anna Sagar Lake.

The beautifully constructed garden was named Daulat Bagh by Shah Jahan but recently the authorities changed its name to Subash Bagh.

The beautiful garden is interspersed by the striking marbles structures standing tall on the eastern banks the lake. Subash Garden stands out like a work of art and is a place that tourists love to visit to enjoy nature. The place is on the must-visit list of tourists when they plan a visit to Ajmer.

Best Time to Visit

Ajmer is a destination that can be visited at any time of the year. The best time is the months from October through March. The average temperature during winter season is around 15 to 18 degree Celsius. Night temperatures can be as low as five degrees. Summer visits can be avoided as temperature can go beyond 40 degrees on most days.

Sagar Bagh is just four kilometers from Ajmer main city. You can take a taxi, auto or a local bus to reach the garden. Ajmer is approximately 134 km from Jaipur.

By Rail

The nearest railway station is Ajmer railway station which is two kilometers from Subash Bagh.

By Air

The nearest airport is the Sanganer Airport which is located at Jaipur, which is about 132 km from the place.
