Tourism Awards To Rajasthan
Rajasthan has received a number of awards for its excellent work in the field of tourism. This state is really a beautiful destination which attracts a lot of people through its colorful traditions and extraordinary attractions. Even Rajasthan Tourism has made a lot of efforts to enhance your experience so that more people can come to visit this state.
Last year, that is in 2011-2012, Rajasthan bagged the second prize for being the best state in the Comprehensive Development of the Tourism Sector. This award was given away by the Pranab Mukherjee (then the President of India) to Rakesh Srivastava who was the Principal Secretary and Commissioner of the Rajasthan Tourism Department.
Samode Haveli which is one of the finest hotels of Jaipur also received an award for being the Best Heritage Hotel. In the same ceremony, the Rajasthan Relief Riders Programme was given a special award as it was the only ‘Innovative and Unique Tourism Project’ initiated by any state.
The tourism sector has progressed tremendously under the leadership and guidance of the Chief Minister and the Tourism Minister. Foreign tourists coming to India always choose Rajasthan as their first preferred tourist destination.
Some of the captivating features of Rajasthan that are noticed by the foreign tourists include folk music of Rajasthan, national parks, rich culture, wildlife sanctuaries, royal palaces and the deserts. Since 2012, Rajasthan has gone through a huge change in terms of the number of tourists visiting the state and the way people have admired the efforts of the tourism department.
Hotel Tourist Awards
Raj Vilas Hotel, (part of the Oberoi group) which is the top hotel in Jaipur won the award of the best 5-star hotel’ and Shiv Niwas Palace bagged the award of the best “heritage hotel” of Udaipur and the entire state.
Apart from the above awards, there are many national as well as international awards that have been bagged by the state for its excellent work in the tourism field. In 2012, it was given the award of Conde Nast Readers Travel Award and Favourite India State Award in the same year. Other awards in the same year are Best Tourism Destination Awareness Award which was given in New Delhi and Best Decorated Stand Award. In 2011, it received National Tourism Award and Conde Nast Traveller Award for best tourism publicity. CNBC selected Udaipur as the friendly city of the state.
In short, Rajasthan tourism has made a special place in everyone’s heart and that is why its tourism department is moving ahead to offer better travel experiences.
