Peace Park is a popular spiritual destination in Mount Abu, Rajasthan. It is acknowledged as a wonderful place for meditation and to experience tranquility and peace in its truest sense. Peace Park is the initiative of the globally famous Brahma Kumaris Spiritual University.

Location and History

The Peace Park is managed by the Brahma Kumaris which is a Non-Governmental Organization (NGO). They are affiliated to the Department of Public Information (DPI) and enjoy a consultative position with ECOSOC or the United Nations Economic and Social Council and UNICEF.

Peace Park is situated between the well-known peaks of the Aravali hills, Guru Shikar and Achalgarh. The park presents the ultimate in natural environment where silence and tranquility exists in abundance.

The Details

Visitors to Peace Park are shown a video presentation of about 15 minutes which highlights the concepts and techniques of Raj Yoga. People are free to meditate in the place of their choice in the park. They can choose from open air, small thatched huts or stone cave. There is also a process called bamboo meditation in which you can meditate in a hut made of bamboo. The serene ambiance of the park is the ideal way to soothe your frayed nerves and rejuvenate your mind and body.

Within the Peace Park, there are well-maintained playing fields, picnic areas and even swings for children and grown up to get relieved of stress and have a great time. At the entrance of the park is the rock garden that has a variety of fruit-bearing plants. The long boundary wall of the park is creatively decorated with rose creepers all along the eight-acre stretch. There are flowers of every conceivable size, color and fragrance that adds to the peaceful atmosphere of the place.

When to Visit

The best time to visit is during the winter season which starts from late October and lasts up to mid-February. During this time, the park is in its full bloom and the nature is in its full splendor.

By Road

Peace Park is located about eight kilometers from the Brahma Kumari’s headquarters at Mount Abu. You can reach Mt. Abu from anywhere in Rajasthan as it is well connected by road.

By Rail

The nearest railway station to Peace Park is Swarupganj railway station Junction which is 14 KM away from Peace Park.

By Air

The nearest airport to Mount Abu is Dabok Airport, Udaipur. It is approximately 185 km from Mount Abu.
