Neelimala viewpoint is a must visit if you are going to Wayanad. The hill station is located at a distance of around 27 km from Kalpetta and the road to Neelimala passes through coffee plantations on either side. Then, there are purple flowering plants, areca nut, ginger and pepper vine plantations as well. A visit to this place would give the tourist an insight into the many traditions and cultures of Wayanad.

Board a bus from Kalpetta and travel till you have reached Vaduvanchal. Thereafter, take another bus or jeep to Cherambadi and get down at Chithragiri. You need to trek for about 1.5 km from there to reach Neelimala viewpoint.

The nearest railway station to Neelimala is Kozhikode, which is located at about a distance of 80 kms from Vaduvanchal.

Karipur International Airport is the nearest airport, located about 95 kms away from Vaduvanchal.
