The Vishwanatha Swamy

This is a famous shrine of Vishwanatha Swamy located about three kilometres away from Palakkad. The high point of this temple is when an annual chariot fair is organised here. This is a gala event and pilgrims from faraway destinations come here to pay their respects to the divine deity. This event is known as ‘Ratholsavam’. It is also referred to as Chariot festival. The duration of this event is seven days.
