Rajamala is one of the best-known wildlife sanctuaries in Kerala that attracts hundreds of thousands of tourists every year. Located at an altitude of 2695 feet above sea level, Rajamala is famous for the many varieties of Nilgiri Tahr, a mountain goat with short, spiky fur. There are more than 1300 such goats at Rajamala.

By Road

Rajamala is easily reachable by road from Munnar which is just 15 km away. Buses run at regular intervals from Munnar and Rajamala bus stations.

By Rail

The nearest railway station from Rajamala is Kottayam Railway Station which is about 140 km away.

By Air

The airport nearest to Rajamala is Kochi International Airport. It is 130 km away. Madurai airport is 142 km from Rajamala.
