From Kozhencherry, the Charalkunnu hills are about 5 kms away and Pathanamthitta is about seventeen kilometres away located in the North West direction of this place. The place enjoys good connectivity owing to a good network of roads. Several taxis and buses ply their services to this destination.

Getting Around

Getting around in this hill station is very easy and comfortable. Main modes of transport are readily available that connects the destination to nearby places. To commute within the destination there are local bus services, auto rikshaws, taxis and cabs. Local bus services are not only comfortable but quite cheap too. Frequent services are available. If tourists wish to visit a particular place directly without making any stop in between, they can take an autorickshaw or a taxi. Kumbhavuruthy Waterfall

The hill station of Charankunnu enjoys nature’s bounty at its best. The virgin beauty of the place beckons tourists from far away destinations. The famous Kumbhavuruthy waterfall is a famous attraction close to this hill station. It is located about eleven kilometres away from Pathanmthitta. Nestled amidst deep and dense forest, the musical voice of the cascading water from the waterfall draws tourists in large numbers. Besides enjoying the view of this waterfall, the tourists who have an adventurous bent of mind can also indulge in some trekking and camping activities.

Perunthenaruvi Water Falls

Another prominent waterfall close to this hill station is Perunthenaruvi Waterfalls. This waterfall adds charm to this already scenic and charming hill station. Close to this waterfall, Honey River flows by and the banks of this river is one of the most sought out picnic spot among locals as well as the tourists coming here. From a height of 60 to 100 feet, the water falls in a gushing sound. The view of this place is truly enthralling. Since there are many beehives in the surrounding area, the name of the river is Honey River.
