About 10 km from Sunderbai in Rajouri, this temple is two storied and is dedicated to Lord Raghunath.


This temple is believed to have been constructed during the reign of Maharaja Gulab Singh by a saint who frequented the area. A unique fact about Chani Prat temple is that the saint brought a map of a Varanasi temple along with him. A two storied temple was constructed based on the pattern of a map brought by this saint from Varanasi.

Images of Lord Ram, Sita, Hanuman and Lakshman adore the temple complex and a grand Yatra procession is held in the temple complex in month of June every year.

By Air

Jammu Airport, also known as Satwari Airport, is the nearest airport to Rajouri. Rajouri is located at a distance of 146 km from Jammu and taxi can be hired from the airport to the Chani Prat Temple that lies 10 km from Sunderbai in Rajouri.
