Dal Lake

Mughal Gardens
Mughal Gardens, a very beautiful place, gives you a refreshing and rejuvenating atmosphere. The fabulous green gardens attract large number of tourist due to the beautiful water fountains and flowering plant species in it.
Shankaracharaya Hill
The renowned philosopher Shankaracharya put up at this aesthetic place when he visited Kashmir about a thousand years ago to revive ‘the sanatan dharma’.
Nagin Lake
This is a small and beautiful blue coloured lake which is known as “Jewel in the Ring” and it is considered as a separate lake which is divided from Dal Lake.
Shalimar Bagh
The garden was built by the fourth Mughal emperor named Jehangir for his beloved wife Nur Jahan. Later on, this garden was beautified and extended by Shah Jahan.

The Best Time to Visit
This hill station mostly experiences low temperature with heavy snowfall during winters mainly during the time from December to February. You can enjoy on this hill station in the mild climate of summer months from April to June. So, the best time to visit Srinagar is from June to early November and December to February.

By Air
The Srinagar Airport is well connected with the Delhi, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Jammu and Leh by regular flights.
By Rail
Jammu is the nearby railway station for Srinagar, which is 290 km away from the station. It is well connected to the major cities of India by railways. Direct train services are available from all the cities like Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi and Trivandrum.
By Road
It is convenient to go there by taxi, bus or by self driven car from Delhi and Chandigarh.
