Aartha Kunj is a beautiful park located near the Nehru Palace in Delhi and it is also known as the spiritual garden. It is located close to the famous Lotus Temple and connects this temple with Kalkaji, Nehru Palace and Greater Kailash. This park was developed by Delhi Development Authority (DDA) and is a calm and serene place where you can let yourself relax and meditate and connect to your inner soul. This beautiful garden is spread over an area of over 100 acres. Though it is located at one of the busiest spots of the capital city, this tranquil hub is one place where you can find peace and enjoy Mother Nature at her best. This park is also a good option for nature lovers, as there are varieties of shrubs here.

History of Aartha Kunj

As already mentioned, this park was developed by the DDA and this park came into existence in the year 2004. It surrounds the southern and eastern side of the Nehru Palace and happens to be one of the most important parks of the entire city.

This park was created for the people of Delhi living in those areas where they could spend some peaceful and quiet times away from the hustle and bustle of the busy city life.

Best Time Visit

The best time to visit the Aatha Kunj is during the mornings. If you are considering visiting this park during winters, you can visit during the afternoon as well.

How to Reach

The Aartha Kunj is located near the Lotus Temple and it is easy to reach here. It is can be reached from different parts of the city via Delhi Transport Corporation Buses, autos, taxis and even the Delhi metro, depending on which part of the city you are in.

Kalkaji Mandir metro station is the nearest metro station and this is the same metro station where you get down when visiting the Lotus Temple. The Nehru Palace metro station is also near to this park. Kailash colony metro station is also nearby.

H Nizamuddin Railway station is the nearest railway station which is about 3 km from the park. You can take autos from here to reach the park.

The Indira Gandhi International airport is about 15 km from Aartha Kunj. From here you can rent taxis or even avail the metro to reach this beautiful park.
