Varapoha Falls
The beautiful Varapoha Falls are located at Jamboti, which lies at a distance of 20 km from Belgaum and about 18 km from Khanapur. This waterfall is born out of the famous Mandovi River, which arises from Jamboti Hill. Mandovi River is considered to be the longest river in the state of Goa. Also known as Mahadayi River, it is surrounded by dense hilltop forests and joined by Marcidha nala and Paneera nala.

River Mandovi spurts from 150 feet height in a gorge which forms a spectacular sight. One can also spot a Hulli Salinga which is associated with the poisonous tarantula. Varapoha Falls is one of the best destinations to visit by nature lovers. It is frequently visited by botanists for the lush greenery. One can also find some archeological monuments and museums which belonged to the Chalukyan times.

This place is constructed in the Chalukyan style and holds an idol of Neminatha. One of the grand attractions of this place is a lotus carving called as ‘Mukhamantapa’ on the ceiling.

Belgaum Airport is well-connected to most other parts of India. It is about 60 km from these falls.
