The beautiful Varapoha Falls are located at Jamboti, which lies at a distance of 20 km from Belgaum and about 18 km from Khanapur. This waterfall is born out of the famous Mandovi River, which arises from Jamboti Hill. Mandovi River is considered to be the longest river in the state of Goa. Also known as Mahadayi River, it is surrounded by dense hilltop forests and joined by Marcidha nala and Paneera nala.

River Mandovi spurts from 150 feet height in a gorge which forms a spectacular sight. One can also spot a Hulli Salinga which is associated with the poisonous tarantula.
