Hebbe Falls

The waterfall of Hebbe is situated at a distance of 10 km from Kemmanagundi hill station in state of Karnataka. The location of the waterfall is bounded by coffee estate and is easily accessible via foot and four-wheeler. The waterfall falls from height of 551 feet at two different levels one is the Dodda Hebbe that is also referred as Big Falls while the other is Chikka Hebbe also named as Small falls.

The waterfall has been closed since 30th September 2012 after Supreme Court passed the order to close all the tourism zones that falls under the tiger reserves.

The waterfall has very enchanting view and was a very famous tourist spot in district of Chikmagalur.

The area around the waterfall has dense forest and plenty of coffee plantations.

The waterfall provides relaxation to the tourist who visits the waterfall for a get away from their busy and hectic lives. The tourist can also enjoy the dip in the waters infused with herbs.

The other place that can be visited when visiting this waterfall is the Kalhatti falls.

The best time to visit the falls is in the season of winter when the flora and fauna of the area is very rich.

The nearest airport to reach the waterfall is in Mangalore.

By Rail

The closest rail line to visit the waterfall is the Tarikere railway station.

By Road

The falls are accessible either by foot or even by a four wheeler. Kemmanagundi is the closest city to the waterfalls at distance of 10 km.
