Then the hereditary dharmakartharu of the family was started around 400 years back. The temple had a very small covered area till the time of the 5th Dharmakartharu. It was surrounded by the forests and all types of natural vegetation. Few people used to visit the temple during those days and the traditional still continues but the number of visitors has increased drastically since then.
Architecture
There is a single magnificent image of the Goddess where she is standing on a peeta with Devi Gayathri, Charka, Shanku and Sri Chakra in her hands. The name Annapurneshwari means the one who feeds all. The most unique thing about this temple is that anyone who visits this temple is served with food which includes all three meals of the day. In case, someone needs a place to stay that can also be arranged in the temple premises. The architecture of the temple is magnificent and it has been there since years.
