History
It is said that the foundation of this sacred temple was laid by some dedicated devotees who belonged to this city. No concrete information is available about the date and time of construction of the temple. However, this temple is well known for its daily Pujas or rituals. Devotees celebrate Ganaeshotsava, a festival dedicated to Lord Gananpathi with much pomp and grandeur.
As Hindu mythology says Lord Ganesh received a boon to be worshiped first in all types of rituals or Pujas. Due to this reason Lord Ganapathi is the first one to be worshiped in any kind of Hindu rituals. Daily Pujas are performed where devotees gather in large numbers for darshan and offerings to Ganesha.
The temple resembles the ancient Hindu temples of Lord Shiva and Ganapathi. Ganapathi has always been known for helping his true followers, therefore it is said that every city must have a Ganapathi temple. All year round during various Hindu festivals, devotees from all around the neighbouring cities or towns visit this temple to listen to sacred stories related to Lord Shri Ganapathi.
