Accommodation Booking

The Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has made elaborate accommodation arrangement for the devotees coming from distant places to seek the blessing of mata. Clean, hygienic and economical accommodations under the Shrine Board are available in the following places:

• Jammu – Saraswati Dham and Vaishnavi Dham (Near Jammu Railway station)
• Katra - Shakti Bhawan and Niharika Yatri Niwas (Near Katra bus stand)
• Katra – Trikuta Bhawan (2nd Yatra counter)
• Adhkuwari
• Sanjichat
• Main Bhawan

Facilities of A/C, Non A/C retiring rooms and dormitories at reasonable prices are available. Online booking facility exists. All you need is to log on to the Mata Vaishno Devi website, create you username and password. Now, log-in using the newly created user name and password. Select the room booking option and click on the location and other details like date, number of people contact details address etc. Once you have finished feeding the personal details, the site would direct you to the payment gateway. The mode of payment like debit card, credit card and internet banking would be displayed. Select your mode of payment and complete the payment formalities. Once you have finished the payment part, you can take print out of your booking and retain the same during the visit. Please do not forget to carry an identity proof to support your ticket. In case your payment transaction is not successful and amount gets deducted from your bank account, then you can mail with complete details to [email protected] for assistance.

It is important to note that no bookings are done on failure transactions.

The bookings done through online cannot be postponed/preponed/cancelled.

Yatra Slip or Yatra Parchi Booking

In order to get a yatra slip online, the devotee is required to register himself with the official website of Shrine Board of Mata Vaishno Devi. The devotee is required to obtain a Devotee ID and Password after registration.

Once the Devotee ID and password are generated, you can log on into the official website of the Mata Vaishno Devi shrine Board. Once you log in you are required to select the Yatra parchi. Enter the details like number of people, date of darshan etc. Once you have finished feeding the requisite details the Yatra parchi would be generated. You can take a print out of the parchi and retain that for your journey. There is no separate parchi required; the generated parchi would allow you to cross Banganga check post for full day.

For being double sure, you can log in again and reassure yourself that Yatra Parchi generated is correct.

• Use the Yatra Parchi to cross the Banganga check post.
• The Yatra parchi is generated free of cost online.
• Yatra parchi can also be obtained from Yatra registration counters located at Saraswati Dham, Jammu and Katra bus stand. These are issued free of cost.
• Children below the age of 10 years do not require Yatra parchi.

Helicopter Booking

Helicopter services are available from Katra to Sanjichat. The Global vVctra and Pawan Hans helicopter service operates to the foothills. The journey from Katra amidst the clouds and magnificent landscape makes your journey memorable. 

The registration process for the booking is very simple. Just register yourself and book the helicopter service for your choice of date and time of travel. Remember to take the printout of the booking thus made.

Poojan Booking

Basically, there are two types of Poojan carried out at the Holy Shrine of Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Ji.

Shradha Suman Vishesh Puja

This is a special kind of Pooja and devotees who wish to attend the Aarti Darshan of the mata can perform this Puja. For details you can log on to the official website of Mata Vaishno Devi shrine board.

Individual Poojan

As part of the daily rituals a Hawan is carried out at the “Yagyashalla”. The devotees who are desirous can get their name and gotra chanted along with the prayers for the good health, prosperity and well being of the individual. For details of the individual poojan and its booking, devotees can log on to the official website of Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine board.

If you have already booked the Yatra slip and accommodation, you can use the same user name and password to book the desired poojan. In case you have not registered with the website then you will have to create a username and password, by feeding the personal details. Once your username and password are generated you can log into the website using the username and password and select the poojan option. Here, you are required to select the type of poojan (Shardha Suman Vishesh Pooja or Individual Poojan). Further you can select the date and other credentials. Once you have finished with the details of the poojan you will be directed towards the payment gateway. Here you can select the mode of payment. The available modes of payments are usually debit card, credit card, and Internet banking. Once the payment part is completed, the pint out of the page can be taken and retained for the Yatra.

The details of the various Poojan available at Shri Vaishno Devi Mata temple are as mentioned below:

Individual Poojan

Category A: Pooja of Rs. 1100/-

In the individual Pooja, the person on whose name or names the pooja is performed will not attend the Pooja. The Pooja can be booked for any day of your choice. The Prashad of the Pooja will be delivered on the postal address mentioned during the Pooja though courier. The chanting of name and gotra for a maximum of 5 members from the family is allowed for 1 puja booked. This type of Pooja is available for the whole 365 days. The devotee is free to select a date of his choice.

Category B: Pooja of Rs. 5100/-

In the Category ‘B’ Pooja, a total of 5 members including the devotee on whose name the pooja is booked can attend. All the people are required to report prior to 08:00 am at room no.8 of the main temple Bhawan. This Pooja can be booked only though advance booking facility.

Shraddha Suman Vishesh Pooja

The Shrine Board has come up with an attractive package for the devotees under the scheme "SHRADHA SUMAN VISHESH PUJA". The devotees who are interested in attending the Aarti Darshan of the mata can avail this package. The details of the package are mentioned below:

Category B

No of Person Allowed:  Two
Facilities Entitled under the Package: Aarti Darshan for two Persons.
One two bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
One two bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
Maximum of three meals for two persons free to cost at Katra/Bhavan and Prasad.
Prescribed Donation Amount: Rs. 31,000/- 

Category C

No of Person Allowed:  Three
Facilities Entitled under the Package: Aarti Darshan for three Persons.
One four bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
One four bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
Maximum of three meals for three persons free to cost at Katra/Bhavan and Prasad.
Prescribed Donation Amount: Rs. 46,000/- 

Category D

No of Person Allowed:  Five
Facilities Entitled under the Package: Aarti Darshan for five Persons.
One four bedded AC Room and one two bedded AC Room in Niharika free of cost.
One Four Bedded and One Two Bedded room at Bhavan free of cost.
Maximum of three meals for five persons free to cost at Katra/Bhavan and Prasad.
Prescribed Donation Amount: Rs. 75,000/-
