Kashmir has been called ‘Paradise on Earth’ for long now, and it has never failed to live up to this phrase. It is nestled around the Himalaya Mountains. The state of Jammu and Kashmir shares its borders with Punjab and Himachal Pradesh on its south. Jammu has various religious shrines that attract hordes of Hindu pilgrim year after year- especially the Mata Vaishno Devi temple. Ladakh is notable for the Buddhist ethnicity and culture, and the isolated mountainous beauty.
