The tulip festival of Jammu and Kashmir is one of the biggest flower festivals of Asia and is visited by people from different countries as well. The festival got its name from the India’s leading Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Siraj Bagh Chesmahsahi is the venue where this festival is held and is located in Srinagar. The venue is also called the Indira Gandhi memorial garden with lots of flowers surrounding the people. It is a beautiful time to explore so many varieties at one place. The garden covers an area of about 5 hectares and is situated near the Dal Lake.

In total about 60 unique varieties of Tulips are showcased during the festival. At the time of the festival, the place becomes a paradise and the visitors do not want to leave the place. Srinagar is said to have around 2 million tulips, out of which some are brought in this festival where it catches the attention of the local and international tourists.

The festival is organized at the Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar. The garden is located near the Dal Lake and offers pleasant views.

The tulips bloom for only 15 days all through the year, therefore the dates of the festival are fixed accordingly. It will be better that you gather information about the festival and plan your trip. Entry Fees

The entry fee is Rs 50 for adults and Rs 20 for the kids. The visiting hours are from 9:30 am to 6:30 pm.
