Rahla Falls is about 27 kms away from the Manali, situated at a height of 2,501 m. The beautiful falls are the result of melting glaciers on mountain tops. Surroundings of this fall include a forest that is rich with silver birch trees and woods of deodar. The fresh air at this place gives relaxation and peace of mind to the visitors. Breathtaking view of the great Himalayas can be captured and enjoyed from this spot. The fall is also the gateway to the nearby villages in Himachal Pradesh. Just beyond the weir there is Sonapani glacier and the twin peak of Gaypan. The marvellous sight of a fall in the backdrop of wonderful snow clad mountain peaks is really admirable to watch and offers a fantastic experience that one can never forget for a lifetime. It is a pleasure gazing at the beautiful water falling from very high cliff which splashes on to the rocks.

  • If you want to go there by flight then the nearest airport is about 50 kms away from Manali, named Bhuntar. Other plane services for Manali are of Kingfisher red, Air India and MDLR airlines. You can catch these flights easily from Delhi Airport.
  • Going there by road is the most reliable source because Manali is connected to Delhi by road through NH 21 and NH 1.
  • If you want to go there through railways then the nearest rail road is in Chandigarh, Kalka, Pathankot and Joginder Nagar. No railway station is situated in Manali.
