Circuits of Himachal Pradesh

Himachal Pradesh is a one of the most popular tourist destinations of the country and attracts tourists from all over the world. Himachal Pradesh tourism contributes significantly to the state exchequer. The tourism boom has prompted the state tourism ministry to ensure better administration of the industry to deliver a better experience to visitors. The state tourism region is divided into four circuits for better management efficiency. They are Beas Circuit, Satluj Circuit, Dhauladhar Circuit and Tribal Circuit.

Beas Circuit

Deriving its name from the ancient river Beas, this circuit makes its way through the popular Kullu-Mandi region known for its amazing natural beauty. Visitors can enjoy meadows carpeted with flowers of various colors and fields full of seasonal produce like paddy and maize. Terraced field of apples, the most commonly found fruit in Himachal is a sight to behold.  The gushing, clear waters of Beas River add to the postcard picture perfection of this circuit.

This 1335 km circuit includes: Delhi, Mandi, Rewalsar, Bilaspur, Kullu, Swarghat, Manali, Manikaran, Naggar, and Rohtang.

Sutlej Circuit

This circuit is named after the popular river Sutlej and covers the snow-laden and grandiose Himalayas. Visitors are welcomed upon by acres of forests lined with pine, oak and deodar trees. There is an abundance of locally growing fruits like stone fruit and apple along the orchards lining the Shivalik foot hills.

The Sutlej Circuit includes Delhi, Sarahan, Solan, Shimla and Kiarighat Narkanda, Parwanoo, Rampur, Naldehra, Tattapani, Kasauli, Renuka, Barog, Paonta Sahib and Nahan, Chail and Hatkoti.

Dhauladhar Circuit

This circuit is named after the famous Dhauladhar peaks located in the West of Himalayan range. The circuit passes through the impressive and imposing snow-covered Dhauladhar ranges. The ranges dominate the whole of the stunningly attractive Kangra valley. The flowers of the meadows, the beautifully architectured temples, the amazing tea estates and grazing sheep make the whole experience of traveling through this region is an once-in-a-lifetime experience.

This Dhauladhar circuit covers Delhi, Dharamsala, Jwalamukhi, Palampur, Chamunda, Kangra, Dalhousie, Chintpurni, Khajjiar, Jogindernagar and Chamba.

Tribal Circuit

The Tribal Circuit of Himachal Pradesh is a picturesque track of villages that passes through a stunning topography of river valleys, Desert Mountains and high passes. You will pass through a number of snow capped peaks that add to the spectacular view of the circuit. The flowing lakes and the magnificent glaciers make the journey a truly and thoroughly enjoyable one. The exotic tribal circuit is also dotted by many monasteries. The sight of grazing yaks and lamas complete your thrilling holiday experience.

This circuit covers Delhi, Losar, Kunzum, Kaza, Koksar, Sissu, Tandi, Trilokpur, Rohtang Pass, Manali, Udaipur, Sangla, Kalpa Nako, Sarahan, Shimla, Tabo, Dhankar and Pin Valley
