Built as a Presbyterian church, the Kellog Memorial Church was constructed in 1903. It is an historic church which is situated near Kasmanda Palace. It is one of the most famous landmarks of the town of Mussoorie built beautifully in grey stone. It displays a Gothic design and possesses stained windows. It is one of the most popular spots among the visitors of Mussoorie.

History

This Church was named after Rev. Dr. Samuel H. Kellog who was an American Presbyterian missionary. He was active in Landour before he passed way in 1899 and authored the best 19th century grammar (Vyakaran) of Hindi in English language.

This church also served as the home to the Landour Language School where British people used to learn Hindi at that time. This language school is run till today.

Climate

Mussoorie is a popular hill station of North India located in the district of Dehradoon. The summers are very pleasant here and offer a tranquil environment to the tourists. Monsoons are accompanied by very heavy rainfall and winters are extremely cold where weather can hit as low as 0 degree Celsius in the months of January and February. The months of May and June have a relatively warmer climate.
