Currently, there are seven blood banks in Goa. Out of these, 3 are in Panaji and one each is located in Bambolim, Margaon, Santa Cruz and Porvorim. The ones in Goa are Central Clinic Laboratory, Fonsecas Pathology Laboratory and India Red Cross. The other blood banks in Goa are Blood Bank (Bambolim), Blood Bank Margao (Margao), Shri Sai Central Blood Bank and Lab (Porvorim) and Dr. William Bone Setter (Santa Cruz). These blood banks store all groups of blood in the most hygienic manner possible. Many non-profit organizations and social welfare groups organise blood donation camps in schools, colleges and other public places to collect blood and provide them to these banks.
