There are around 68 blood banks in the northern state of Haryana as per latest details available. Out of these, a maximum of 11 blood banks are located in the main city of Faridabad, followed by 9 in Hisar and 8 in Gurgaon. Many other cities like Ambala, Sonepat, Kurukshetra, Jhajjar, Rohtak etc. have one or two blood banks in their premises. These banks have all types of blood group stored in their labs, so that it can be used for patients in case of emergencies. Blood camps are organised by non- profit organisations all over the state and as a result of that, these blood banks are able to update their stock levels.
