Gujarat state is located in the western part of India. This state is bounded by Rajasthan at north side, Maharashtra in south area, Madhya Pradesh in east side and Pakistan's Sindh province as well as the Arabian Sea at the west part. Gandhi nagar is the capital of Gujarat and the biggest city of it is Ahmedabad region. The mother tongue of this Gujarat state is Gujarati. Father of our nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was also from the state of Gujarat. This state is even prominent and well known as a dehydrated state where buying or selling of alcohol is not officially permitted. In India's financial growth, Gujarat state has been measured as a imperative and important region. It is even recognized as India's greatest increasing wealthly state. This state Gujarat is also distinguished for its industrialization and GDP i.e. gross domestic product enlargement that is a lot beyond than the standard of our state.

Gujarat is a state of India that consists of many districts and tehsils. This state has various districts and these are subdivided according to the year such as:-

In year of 1960 the state was initially developed and consists of 17 northern districts of the former Bombay state such as Amreli, Ahmedabad, Banaskantha, Bhavnagar, Bharuch, Jamnagar, Dang, Kheda, Junagadh, Mehsana, Kachchh, Rajkot, Panchmahal, Surat, Sabarkantha, Vadodara and Surendranagar. The in year of 1964 Gandhinagar was developed from the parts of Mehsana and Ahmedabad. Afterwards in year of 1966 Surat was split from Valsad region. Later on in 2007 Tapi region was also split from Surat. Now in year of 2013 seven new districts are created from various parts of Gujarat state. These districts are such as Aravali, Botad, Chhota Udaipur, Mahisagar, Dwarka, Morbi and Somnath Gir.

Important Districts of Gujarat

  • Gandhi Nagar: Gandhinagar district is measured as the spirit of Gujarat. It is even considered as Gujarat's both enlightening as well as profitable thread.
  • Ahmedabad: Ahmedabad is well known as India's Manchester. It is prominent for its textile industries also.
  • Vadodara: This district Vadodara is identified for its fertilizer, pharmaceutical and glass industries. Also this district makes Gujarat as a chief industrial hub.
  • Rajkot: It is acknowledged for manufacturing sugarcane, groundnut and cotton.
  • Surat: If you want to get the best diamonds in India, this is the district you should pay a visit to. Also this district has prominent Zari market. Surat gives the diamonds a polish and clear cut. This place is also recognized for its zari work.
  • Anand: This is another district that brings the most excellent dairy invention brand known as 'Amul'. The main dairy is positioned here.
  • Kutch: Kutch is the principal district not only in Gujarat state, but also in India. Majority of ground in Kutch is in the barren region form. One can visit places like Aina Mahal, Kutch museum, ethnology museum, Royal Cenotaphs Chattris and Sharad Bagh Palace.

It is even found that Gujarat state has total number of twenty five districts. The districts of Gujarat are governed and headed by Deputy Commissioner. The Deputy Commissioner is in charge of administration of this particular state of Gujarat. Also it is surveyed that Deputy Commissioner even perform the role of a Collector and district Magistrate. Gujarat has many districts such as Amreli, Ahmedabad, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Anand, Banaskantha, Dang, Dahod, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar, Kheda, Junagadh, Mehsana, Kutch, Navsari, Narmada, Patan, Panchmahal, Rajkot, Porbandar, Sabarkantha, Surendranagar, Surat, Valsad and Vadodara. This state of India Gujarat has a Deputy Commissioner who is the executive head of the district. The Deputy Commissioner has multifarious responsibilities. The District Magistrate of Gujarat state is also responsible for maintaining the order and law. The district is regulated by district Magistrate whereas the Collector acts as the chief Revenue Officer for the district. This Chief Revenue officer is responsible for revenue recovery and collection.

In Gujarat the Police administration of the district is under the authority and control of Superintendent of the Police (SP). Also this district of Gujarat is subdivided into one or more divisions or subdivisions. Even in Gujarat many tehsils and blocks are divided in order to decentralize the authority in the set up of administrative.
