Art Today Gallery
The gallery took the baby steps in 1995 by hosting its very first show by the founders Rekha and Aroon Purie. Since then it has been showcasing contemporary art, sculptures by the eminent artists of India. Simultaneously it has widened its horizon by showcasing art by artists of the Osho commune and the graduating art students. Through its very own e-shop ‘artetc’ it has made art in the form of postcards and calendars available to the art lovers just with the help of few clicks. The art gallery also has collections of handpicked masterpieces, which are also immensely precious and are now available in limited editions. The Art Today gallery is gradually trying to reach out to the global market place of art lovers and create firm ground for itself in the world of art.
History
The renovation work was done by architect Prem Nath who wanted to restore the grandeur of Connaught place through his design. The gallery held the first exhibition in 1995 featuring eminent contemporary painters and traditional ones. The paintings of M.F.Hussain, Anjolie Ela Menon, Kailash Chand Sharma and many others adorned the walls of the gallery.
