Dhankara
This kind of dance form is performed by minimum of two people but can be functioned by any number of dancers. This dance is majorly performed by the males and the dance is performed by dancing in circles. The costume includes a scarf that the dancers hold in hands. The dance is performed by plying the scarf in a particular fashion thus following the rhythm of the music. This form of dance is performed generally during the procession of happiness like marriages, birth etc. This is done in open areas like lawns, yards etc. This is also named as the Gatka dance that includes usage of dum swords. The women and men don’t perform the dance in a single group rather it is performed separately by male and female group. There are not many movements involved while enacting this dance form rather there are only few steps that are performed.
