By Air

By Rail

There are two Railway stations in the close by proximity of the Poovar beach. One is the Trivandrum Central Railway Station which is located 30kms away from the beach. While the other nearby Railway station is the one of Prassala which is located 11 kms away from the beach.

The nearby bust terminal is the Thiruvananthapuram (Trivandrum) bust stand with many buses plying with a proper arrangement of running frequency. The closest harbor to the beach is Vizhinjam located 14kms away. There are many boats traveling to and from major cities like Mangalore and Kochi etc. Even from Trivandrum, the boat ride takes like near about 15 minutes to reach to Poovar beach.
