Originating from Nasurghat Hills located in Mysore, the 88 km long Suvarnavathi tributary blends into the Kaveri River. And this tributary is responsible for the formulation of the beautiful Suvarnavathi Reservoir. The dam has been constructed by highly skilled professionals to supply water to the local regions with full proficiency. Its length is 160 feet and can store 1258.76 feet of water.

How to Reach

By Road

The location of Suvarnavathi Reservoir is on the Chamarajanagar-Satyamanagala National Highway. The dam can be reached by private vehicles or public transport buses which travelled to the location frequently. The people can get the buses from Shivanasamudram Bus Station.

By Train

The railway station of Chamarajanagar can be reached to go to the location with ease. From here the tourist would have to travel by road to reach the destination.
