Panj Pir is a beautiful tourist spot, located a few kilometres from Rajouri district in Jammu. It falls under Islamabad, Pakistan. The Panj Pir is actually a shrine located at the peak of the Danoi ridge in Kotli Sattian or Kahuta, at an elevation of 1800 metres. This place is still an unexplored territory, and is claimed to have held its stance in religion. According to local trivia, this was a place where five saints from Punjab had settled down. The graves of these saints and their sister provide strong evidence to this fact.

A picturesque wonder in winters, Panj Pir gets adorned in snow around December. Danoi ridge is pretty steep, and the rugged terrain has a quaint old-world charm to it. Hiking or trekking has become a popular mode of travelling to this place. Tourists can hike from Lehtrar rest house on Lehtrar Road that links Bagh and Islamabad via Kotli Sattian.

The beautiful pine forest and picturesque hill view is the main attraction while trekking through these high boulders. Throughout trekking the striking view is that of the uniquely shaped and sized rocks. Upon reaching the end of ridge a wonderful view of river Jehlum could be witnessed. Also Makhra and other mountains and peaks of Kashmir can also be seen from this point. The total time required to travel to reach the shrine is 2 to 3 hours from Danoi. The way down from Panj Pir is easy or alternately going to the east towards river Jehlum to Azad Pattan where public transport is easily available.

This shrine is maintained by the locals, and is visited by devotees, pilgrims and tourists alike, including army personnel, on Thursdays.
