Launched in the year 2005, the Pragatipath Yojana with its object to ‘connect tribal belts, coastal, industrial and rural areas with main stream areas and the extremities of the state’, occasioned widening and strengthening of 9 High Speed Corridors linking ends of the state. At a total cost of Rupees 2488 crores, the total length of the project was 3710 km.
